The LOFT will serve as a dynamic community resilience hub, offering afterschool and youth programming, flexible gathering and event space, small business support, and a Green Energy Training Center focused on workforce development and sustainability education. Through a phased green retrofit, the project is expected to reduce utility costs by more than 80% while integrating solar power, battery storage, and microgrid capabilities to help keep the facility operational during extreme weather events and power disruptions.
